Dawson's 3rd Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWSON
I can't believe that it was three years ago that I had him. His first year was extremely hard for Justin and I. He ALWAYS needed to be held. Then little by little he has become such a pleasant kid. I don't think there is a day now that goes by without us laughing at him, about him, or with him. We LOVE the personality that he brings into our family.

Since Davis played baseball this last season, Dawson has come to love anything baseball. So we decided to give him all baseball stuff. He loved it.

At our house, we have to open up presents first thing. That way you can play with it all day long.

Sporting his new Yankee hat.

Trying out his new bat and ball in the front room (I wish I could put a stop to this, but I never win.) He picked out the baseball helmet himself. He even rides his bike with it at times.

I'm not a very good cake decorator, so, if you can't tell - his cake is supposed to be a baseball. He liked it.

Happy Birthday Dawson!

H2O

My mom, Nicole, and her girls came up for a few days. We had a great time. We floated the Boise river and of course no pictures - I must be pregnant. It was soooo much fun and all the kids loved it. This is definitely a must every summer from now on. While mom and Nicole were here we also went out to the Nampa pool. All the kids HAD to have NEW goggles to help them swim. It was amazing to see their confidence and skill level improve!

This pool also has a splash pad that Dawson thinks is great.

4th of July

On Saturday morning we headed down to Boise for their Independence Day Parade. It was great! We got there early, set up our chairs and blankets, then walked down to the Farmers Market. LOVE the Farmers Market in Boise. We bought a basket of delicious raspberries, fresh kettle korn, sticky buns, and some buffalo burger. YUMMY!

We started out in a nice shaded area, then, of course, by the time the parade actually started, we were in the sun.

Fresh Kettle Korn, mmmmmmm

Now we'll try a sticky bun.
That evening, we got together with some of our neighbors and BBQ'd, made s'mores, and did some fireworks.

After we had done all the fire works, we went home and climbed out on the roof to watch Meridians fire works. It was a great family day.

4th of July Weekend

On Friday the 3rd, we took our kids on a little hike. It was more of a nature walk, but they enjoyed it. We went down to the Hidden Springs area. At the top we had an awsome view of Boise.

Beautiful view of the Treasure Valley

Our little Bronco Fan. He was quite the sport and walked the whole thing.

Brooklyn, however, tired out at the end and had to be 'piggy-backed' by her dad.

Roaring Springs

Davis and Lexi each earned a free ticket to Roaring Springs and then Lexi won an additional ticket by taking 2nd place in a fun run. So I took the four kids to the water park for the day. Dawson and Brooklyn LOVED the wave pool. I'm such a bad mom, I didn't realize until right now that I don't have one picture of Lexi or Davis from this fun outing. Guess we'll just have to go again.

Dawson getting ready to jump a wave.

Brooklyn got wiped out by this wave.

Love the side view.

Silly Kids

I finally down loaded pictures to my computer so that I could make some posts and I found some silly pictures of my kids that I didn't take. There were quite a few pictures, but, I only saved one of each kid.

Summer Days

We took the Front Runner down to Gateway and then enjoyed a shaved ice.

Welcome Summer!!!

Fiddle Festival

On June 5th, Davis participated in his first fiddle festival. He did great!! He had to play a round of three songs. First was "Rubber Dolly", then "Ashoken Farewell", and last was "Rocky Top". He didn't make the cut but he had a lot of fun doing it. The cute lady on guitar is his fiddle teacher.

Baseball Practice

Davis LOVES baseball and is practicing ALL the time in the backyard. Justin was throwing him some pop-flies and missed. I don't think he'll do this again.

Poor thing! At least it wasn't in a game!!

Memorial Weekend

Sorry, it's been awhile since I've posted!! My computer is still not letting me log in to my own blog!! I have to go over to my good friend Lana's home to make a post. Sooooo, there are 4 posts below!

Friday afternoon, we headed up to McCall, ID, with our friends the Petersons. This was like going to Disneyland to my kids. There was a hot tub, a Wii, a pool table, a 4-wheeler, a lake with a paddle boat, and lots of treats. They did not want to leave!!

Down at the dock, waiting their turn for a paddle boat ride.

Brooklyn

This was my Saturday morning work-out! Elizabeth and I took out the girls for a ride.

Justin and Kefford with Davis, Dawson, and Rylee. Dawson absolutely loved the boat.

Dawson and his cute little girl friend, Rylee. Dawson loved climbing the tall mountain that was behind the cabin. Shoes or no shoes, he was out there loving the great outdoors.

TaVaci

At the start of the year, we put Brooklyn in Tavaci which is a singing/dancing group. She has had sooooo much fun with this - and, of course, her best friend did it with her.

Natalie and Brooklyn

The lighting was really bad, but the performance was great. (Actually Hillarious)
She has earned her first medal!

Zoo Boise

Brooklyn had a fun field trip to the Zoo with her pre-school class. She LOVED her class this year.

Kailey, Natalie, Brooklyn, Lyndsay, and Dawson

Our Zoo just got two giraffe's. Very cute.

Dawson had a blast hanging out with his big sister.
